How wonderful life is.

"I know it's not the answer you want to hear, but all we can do is wait on DC to call us back."

Those are the words that have resigned me to a very very melancholy mood for some time to come. I have my fingers crossed that by some miracle they call back iin the next day or so. I'm not really expecting it though, I know how slow the background check people are. Now, this goes to show you how annoying money really is. I've worked in this very job, although speaking Spanish, from 96 to 2001. Then I am debriefed and sent to Monterey to learn a new language. Well, every five years you are supposed to be re-investigated. The paperwork for that was lost the first time I did it, and so I had to redo it in Monterey. I filled it out to the best of my ability, as I always do, and when I left Monterey I was told I was good to go with a temporary clearance and I would be able to start class.

Well, I come down here and go to do my indoc and they say no. Fill this out and wait, you have to totally clean up your credit record. So, I clean up my credit record, something I've wanted to do for a while but have not ever had any luck getting ahold of a copy of my own credit report so I could do so. I managed to finally get a copy, for about $35, and contacted alll the right people, sent money where I was supposed to, etc. Now, I'm waiting. Waiting to figure out what is going to happen to me. I have no idea and I hate that. I hate being in this stupid limbo where everyone is ignoring me and I can't even get the LT to give me casual duty.

So, that is why I'm in a meloncholy mood and haven't been too posty with my journal.
